Nova descoberta - Asteroide 2022 HS14

O OARU descobriu em 28  de abril de 2022 o MBA (Main Belt Asteroid) 2022 HS14.

O 2022 HS14 é o 4º asteroide MBA descoberto pelo OARU usando imagens do Telescópio Pan-STARRS 1 no Programa IASC (International Astronomical Search Collaboration).

A órbita do 2022 HS14 tem uma inclinação 5,8 graus em relação a órbita da Terra, com uma excentricidade de 0,26 o que faz com que o periélio (ponto de sua órbita mais próxima ao Sol) seja de aproximadamente 1,58UA (236,4 milhões de km) e o afélio (ponto de sua órbita mais distante do Sol) de 2,71UA (405,4 milhões de km). A sua magnitude absoluta é de 20,5 o que permite calcular um tamanho estimado entre 400 a 450 metros. A distância mínima orbital entre o 2022 HS14 e a Terra é de aproximadamente 85,3 milhões de km.

The OARU discovered on April 28, 2022 the MBA (Main Belt Asteroid) 2022 HS14.

2022 HS14 is the 4th MBA asteroid discovered by the OARU using images from the Pan-STARRS 1 Telescope in the IASC (International Astronomical Search Collaboration) Program.

The orbit of 2022 HS14 has an inclination of 5.8 degrees in relation to the Earth's orbit, with an eccentricity of 0.26 which makes the perihelion (point of its orbit closest to the Sun) to be approximately 1.58 AU ( 236.4 million km) and the aphelion (point of its orbit farthest from the Sun) of 2.71 AU (405.4 million km). Its absolute magnitude is 20.5 which allows to calculate an estimated size between 400 to 450 meters. The minimum orbital distance between 2022 HS14 and Earth is approximately 85.3 million km.
